My Doodle Story
Happiness + Zoomies + Playfulness= Maxton.
Look into his eyes and you can easily see why everyone LOVES Maxton (“Max”). There’s a lot to love about Maxton. And he loves lots of things, too! Two of his favorite things are food (especially the human variety) and laundry (the stinkier, the better)! Thankfully his shorter legs curtail his counter-surfing tendences, but rest assured, he will find any crumbs left behind on the sofa. Needless to say, Maxton’s fur-ever family will have to be diligent about keeping socks and undies put away in the hamper if they don’t want to “share”. He adores a good cuddle session and gets along great with other dogs.
Maxton wants so much to be right alongside you–whether snuggled on the couch or sharing your pillow at night. He enjoys a good game of fetch and definitely needs daily exercise to keep his svelte figure (reference his first love above). He throws the best “welcome home” parties when his humans return after work and school. He will need continued training as he can be a little overly-enthusiastic in his welcomes. He will also need someone who won’t cave in to his puppy-dog eyes when he spies you munching on something tasty. He’s a “talker” and will carry on a conversation with you to express his wishes whether it’s going outside or to plead for a taste of your dinner.
Maxton’s adoption fee is $500. He is HW negative, current on all HW/flea preventatives, neutered, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like Maxton a second chance. If you would like to fill out an application and are within a 5-hour radius of the foster’s location, please click on one of the Adoption Application buttons on this page and select MAXTON from the drop-down menu on the application form.
